Vaulter Clubs Asa Martin Takes First Place at D1 Southern Section Finals

(Cerritos, California) After a long season of work, travel and grit, the CIF D1 Southern Section finals came to head at Cerritos College. Vaulter Club had two pole vaulters going into this meet bringing their club pride with them. These two athletes did not disappoint at all as they jumped to the best of their ability.

Allie Gray (Chaparral High School) had some stiff competition from the rest of the athletes in her group and came out with a 5th place rank within her group and finishing as the top placed pole vaulter in the Inland Empire and Temecula surrounding area. Such a great accomplishment for this young lady and we couldn’t be any more proud of her. Picked her first pole vaulting pole up on February 15th of this year and finished her season with a PR of 11’2″ as a Sophomore.

Allie is very excited about pole vaulting and has some catching up to do with the rest of the ladies pole vaulting around her, but she’s well on her way. When she comes back here next year it will be a totally different Allie pole vaulting with these ladies.

Allie Gray and Asa Martin at the Division One Southern Section Finals. Representing Vaulter Club until the end.

Asa Martin (Great Oak High School) is on a two week roll after finishing first place in Prelims and also Southern Section Finals for D1. Asa jumped like a champ and showed the competition that he’s there until the end. Once again Asa waited until his third attempt on his first bar to tighten up up top, but once he did he cleared with no problem at all. Very proud of this young man and all that he has accomplished. The season had its ups and downs, but in the end he’s pulling through like a champ!  Good luck next week Asa on your Masters meet leading to the state meet. Keep tight at the top and finish the vault at the top end and you will do fine!

Starting now the 2017 season begins for all of the Vaulter Club athletes and they know that in order to meet at the finals and state again, they have to work and continue to put forth the effort. All of the kids that come to our club know that they have to put the work in to achieve their goals and thus the reason why they have joined our club.

Travel Summer team is still filling up fast with only a few slots left.  Once we are full we will not longer be accepting entries or private lessons. Check us out at www.vaulter.club
