(Temecula, California) This year has already started with a bang for Vaulter Club after the completion of the travel team and jumping at the National Pole Vault Summit in Reno, Nevada. Now the jumps, meets and personal records are starting to come in from around the Temecula and Murrieta Track and Field teams.
Last weekend we had Madison Kast that finished second place at the Saddle Up Invitational for Murrieta Valley High School with a jump of 9’6″. (Results) Her team mate Jake Rice also finished second place at the same meet with a jump of 13′. Katrina Meier Finishes 1st place at Saddle Up with the JV squad with a jump of 8; to sum up the Clubs appearance at that meet.
For Murrieta Valley, Kast and Rice both took 1st place against Lake Elsinore on March 3, 2016, as well with Kast improving her Personal Record to 9’9″ and Rice Jumping 13′. (Results) Lauren Garcia of Vaulter Club took second place at this event jumping 7′ to finish off her night of pole vaulting.
Tonight March 3, 2016 Chaparral High School against Linfield Christian and Woodcrest meet, Vaulter Club saw a few personal records fall and Vaulter Club athletes taking 1st through 3rd place. First place went to Allie Gray with three personal records crushed and jumping 10 feet at her first high school meet ever. Second place went to Maddy Duong with a jump of 9 feet and third went to Nicole Silverlake with a jump of 8 feet.
Overall these are just a few of the athletes that have continued to pole vault and attend our travel team circuit and worked to make a huge season opener with their schools. Many athletes from around the area that jumped at our FREE summer program have already made huge leaps for 1st place wins as well. Not to mention personal records falling, which is always the fun part!
We look forward to seeing more results from the season and we are looking forward to a great summer coming soon.
