Arcadia, California: Madison Negro vaults a solid personal record or 12’1″ to place 3rd place at the VS Athletics California Winter Championships on January 29, 2022.
Madisyn Negro a Junior Jumping for Murrieta Valley High School in Murrieta, California, also placed third place last year at the CIF Finals meet.
The weather was picture perfect as four of the Vaulter Club athletes took the field for a high school level pole vaulting experience. You could not have picked a better day to jump and show your athletic abilities. negro came out on top at this year starting event out of the three girls that participated.
All four of the athletes handled the meet very well as no coaches were allowed on the field. With the massively loud noise coming from the speakers, running event, and spectators, the athletes jumped at a top notch level this early in the season.
This 12’1″ PR matches the school record for Murrieta Valley and a record that Negro hopes to overtake in the early spring meets.
Along with Negro her team mates Katie Rodriguez, Aspen Fears, and Brendan Conway all had stellar performances and showed what the season has in store.
