Friday and Saturday three of Vaulter Clubs Elite level athletes participate in the Nations biggest track meet. Arcadia Invitational is the meet that you want to get into if you want to be seen by colleges and other like-minded athletes.

Saturday Alexandria Gray stood alone for the club as she went up against some of Southern California and other state’s best pole vaulters. Gray was flawless on attempts until one miss at 11’10”. That was all it took to take her out of third place and a tie for fourth. Gray took some serious jumps at a new 12’2″ personal record break and nearly cleared the 12’2″ bar and placing her in second place. Exciting, to say the least, this girl showed what she could do and earned a medal for her efforts.
Katrina Meier and Nicole Silverlake jumped on Friday night for the women’s pole vault section. Meier took second place and went out on a misses. Both of the top two athletes went out at 11’10” which would have been a new high school record for Meier. Meier also had two personal record breaks on the night and currently stands at 11’6″. The Silver medal that she earned was well worth the trip.

Nicole Silverlake tied for 11th place with a jump of 10’4″ and showed some significant progress in her jumping.
The Friday night vaulting ended with an exciting duel between the last two athletes in, and the meet did not disappoint in any way.
This Saturday we will take Silverlake, and Gray to the MT. SAC Relays where Alexandria Gray will jump with the highest high school pole vault girl in the nation. The action starts at 10:30 am and we want to invite all of you Vaulter Club kids and parents to come and watch the action.
