It was a day to remember for Both Madisyn Negro Murrieta Valley (2023) and Aspen Fears Vista Murrieta (2024) as they break a nine year Riverside, California, County Pole Vault record.

It’s been one heck of a ride to say the least, both of these athletes have put the work in and now their seeing the fruits of their labor. Fears pops the Riverside County, California, county leading Pole Vault mark on her first attempt and Negro follows suite seconds later. Both Pole Vaulting 13’2″ to set a new school record for both athletes and breaking the Riverside County, California Girls High School Pole Vault Record.
“Vista Murrieta sophomore Aspen Fears broke the Riverside County girls pole vault record when she cleared 13-2 on her first attempt at that height at the Inland Empire Championships at Vista Murrieta on Saturday. The previous county record was 13-1, set by Roosevelt’s Gardenia Centenaro in 2013. And moments later, Murrieta Valley junior Madisyn Negro equaled that record on her second attempt.
