All Seven (7) of our Vaulter Club Elite Athletes Press on to the second round of CIF

All seven (7) of our Vaulter Club Elite Athletes move on to round two of the CIF Division Finals.

Paige Hansen - Junior Div 3
Katie Rodriguez - Junior - DIV 1
Aspen Fears - Sophomore - Div 1
Madisyn Negro - Junior - Div 2
Miguel Sandoval - Senior - Div 1
Tiger Bachmeier - Junior - Div 2
Brendan Conway - Senior - Div 2

Round one found our elite athletes pole vaulting for Division One at Trabuco Hills, Division Two Ventura, and Division Three in Estancia. Many miles and a mass amount of time transpired just for many of our athletes to come in and take one jump and be done.

We know that sounds crazy to drive three hours for a single jump, but it’s been a yearlong process and training. Four of our seven athletes did just that after waiting no less than two hours to take that jump from the time that the bar initially went up.

As a club, team and set of coaches, we know it’s all part of the process to get a seat at the table and jump at these meets that lead to state. Steppingstones from one meet to the next until we reach our goals. Many of these athletes have spent the last few years anticipating this event and after the last two years being shut down, they’re ready to jump their best.

Next meet is Moorepark, High School in Moorepark, California on Saturday starting with Division four boys and girls in the AM and ending with Division one boys and girls in the afternoon at 3:45 pm. There will be a Division Champion for all four divisions at these meets and the top 12 out of all four divisions combined will move onto the Masters meet the following weekend in Moorepark once again.

As coaches we could not be prouder of their athletes. Pushing themselves to succeed onto the next round of CIF and having vision to look beyond.

On Saturday there will be nine athletes for each section competing for the best in the Southern Section Divisions. Medals are awarded to the top six (6) athletes in both the boys and girls section for each division.

We wish all the athletes the best of luck as they continue to work hard, push the limits and perfect their sport. They’ve worked hard, prepared, and trained for these meets upon them. Good luck kids, make your hometown proud.
